Malaysian pianist Julian Chan marks the centenary of the completion and publication of Leopold Godowsky’s Java Suite with this Linn debut recording. Full of fragrant, intoxicating sounds, the piece was inspired by the culture, landscapes, architecture and entrancing harmonies of the island of Java. It is a vibrant blend of music from the East and West.
