All the musicians featured on this record are the reason why Sam Siefert came back to compose and arrange music. The scene in Innsbruck opened up to the drummer and he found many good friends, colleagues and wonderful souls. With “Of where we are and where we got so far” Sam tried to include most of the musicians he has worked with during the last years. The album includes eight compositions or ideas of him as well as two drum interludes and two conceptional statements. There are 20 musicians all in all who created this record. During the recording sessions an eleven-piece ensemble formed, to perform these songs as well as newer compositions live. This album deals with the own journey of Sam Siefert’s musicality (so far) as well as the problems society and people have to deal with every day, trying to raise a voice for humanity and tolerance.
