On the threshold of an important century of life, Paolo Fresu wanted to offer this wonderful artist the opportunity to finally tell his story in a solo work (the first of his long life at 94 years of age), also giving a philosophical contribution to the accordion, a particular and often neglected instrument in the panorama of African-American music and towards which, as towards bellows instruments in general (see the works of Daniele Di Bonaventura and Pierpaolo Vacca published in recent years), the label shows a firm and important desire to valorize it.
