“Eternamente Omara” is the new album by Omara Portuondo, one of the great divas of Cuban music and an essential figure in the history of Latin American music in the 20th and 21st centuries. Born in Havana in 1930, her artistic career spans more than 75 years, from her first steps in the legendary Tropicana cabaret to the most prestigious stages in the world. Known as “the filin’s girlfriend,” she has been a fundamental voice in the evolution of this genre, combining the emotional depth of the bolero with the harmonies of jazz and Cuban song. At 94, she releases a new album that includes collaborations with artists such as Nathy Peluso, Silvio Rodríguez, Pablo López, and Angelique Kidjo.
