Death By Unga Bunga returns with their hardest-hitting record yet, Raw Muscular Power, a 10-track exploration of fragile male ego and crumbling facades through wild, raw, and high-energy rock. Inspired by their performance at Norway’s Tons of Rock festival, the album boasts a “dumber and rawer” sound packed with catchy hooks and testosterone-fueled confusion. The band tackles themes of masculine insecurity, from office workers idealizing manual labor (“Raw Muscular Power”) to early-30s existential dread (“I’m Really Old”). Guest appearances include Mike Krol on “Therapy” and Haley Shae of Sløtface on the Paul Stanley-tribute “Starchild.” The album also features their first Norwegian-language track, “Ring meg hvis du trenger en venn” (“Call me if you need a friend”), offering a heartfelt message of support.
