The 1968 live recording of Neil Ardley featuring the Danish Radio Big Band is a legendary, historically significant performance that remained unreleased in the vaults for over 50 years. In 1968, celebrated British composer and arranger Neil Ardley traveled to Denmark to direct and rehearse the world-renowned Danish Radio Big Band. For this performance, the world-class Danish orchestra tackled the complex, progressive big band arrangements Ardley had originally written for his own famous UK group, the New Jazz Orchestra (NJO).
