Requirements
No prior experience with Claude Code, GSD or the course stack is required.
Basic programming familiarity and comfort using a terminal.
A computer with Node.js 20+ and npm 10+.
You will install Claude Code and GSD during the course.

AI can write code fast. But without a clear system, it can also take your project off scope, over-engineer simple features, miss requirements and leave you with code you do not fully trust.This course teaches a different way to build with AI.You will learn how to use Claude Code with GSD, a spec-driven development workflow that gives AI a structured path from rough brief to working software. Instead of relying on one long prompt or constantly correcting the model, you will use a repeatable loop to discuss requirements, create a plan, execute work, verify the result and ship each feature with confidence.You will follow a realistic client project: a small ERP for Joe, a corner-shop owner. Joe’s brief is intentionally imperfect, with unclear requirements and contradictions. You will learn how to clarify what matters before AI starts making assumptions.Together, we will build two real features in a TypeScript full-stack project:A cashier login flow with password hashing, sessions, authentication middleware and testsA record-a-sale feature that safely updates stock, handles out-of-stock items and includes a frontend formAlong the way, you will install Claude Code and GSD, scaffold a TypeScript monorepo, use /gsd-new-project, review the planning artifacts GSD creates, and run the full phase workflow:/gsd-discuss-phase → /gsd-plan-phase → /gsd-execute-phase → /gsd-verify-work → /gsd-shipYou will see GSD break planned work into parallel execution waves, keep the main context focused, and help catch issues before a feature is shipped.By the end of the course, you will have a working ERP slice running locally: log in, record a sale and watch stock decrease.
