Kira McSpice’s second album, “The Desert,” part of her “A Return in 4 Parts” series, conceptually explores a spiritual trance journey. The record was captured on tape over three days at Machines with Magnets studio with producer Miranda Serra. Coinciding with the peak of McSpice’s Saturn return, the recording followed an intuitive, chronological, and unplanned approach. The creative process was heavily influenced by spiritual practices, incorporating astrological guidance from Seven Phillips and breathwork facilitated by Trina Merz, ultimately transforming the session into an act of deep self-discovery and transformation.
