育碧宣布根据动画电影《蓝精灵2》改编的主题游戏。这部由哥伦比亚电影公司和索尼电影动画公司出品的3D家庭喜剧电影预计将于7月31日上映。
由育碧和WayForward开发，游戏将为动作冒险类型并在PlayStation3、Xbox360、任天堂Wii、Wii U；等主机平台推出，并以互动图书和迷你游戏合集的形式在任天堂DS上发布。预计于2013年7月面世。
《蓝精灵2》改编游戏是继育碧与索尼影业消费产品成功合作推出《Smurfs Dance Party》后的又一力作。《蓝精灵》动画电影也在当时获得了5亿6千万的全球票房。
《蓝精灵2》主题游戏是一款让全年龄段的蓝精灵迷们都能进入不可思议的蓝精灵村庄、回味影片中的经典时刻的动作冒险游戏。玩家们将扮演蓝精灵并融入到电影的欢快场景中包括纽约和巴黎，以及只有游戏世界中才有的奇妙世界，例如北极冻土、熔岩丛林等。
玩家可以进行单人游戏或者与好友合作游戏，并选择影片中的9个蓝精灵加入最多支持4人同时游戏的多人冒险。只有在Wii U平台，第五个玩家可以使用Wii U GamePad的触摸屏参与游戏。
