The independent British rock duo The Virginmarys has released a stripped-back, alternative version of their fan-favorite track “White Knuckle Riding.” Moving away from heavy amplification, this self-produced version blends a somber, celestial piano intro, raw vocals, neo-classical undertones, and post-rock textures before closing with a Pixies-esque guitar riff. Dealing with themes of existential dread and suffering, the single sets the emotional and sonic tone for the duo’s upcoming LP, “Beyond the House of Fires.”
