《Cibele》的主题是以网络游戏为媒介的大学生的性问题。2009年2月，在被日本动漫周边填满的房间里，故事从19岁的妮娜看向电脑的那一瞬间开始。
妮娜正玩着网络游戏“Valtameri”，网名为“Cibele”。她最近和网名为“Ichi”的男性走得很近，有点把现实生活中的男友（或者说前男友）置之不理了。有朋友发现“妮娜”的男友在聚会上跟别的女生卿卿我我，便担心地给她发了邮件，“别光顾玩网游了，再不干点什么你就被劈腿了啦”。但妮娜在网络世界十分受人欢迎，所以并没有在意那条短信。
游戏主要有三个场景，包括电脑桌面场景、Valtameri游戏场景以及写实场景。在这些场景中，现实的妮娜与游戏中的Cibele相互交替，不时传来语音聊天的声音，又或收到短信。在Cibele和Ichi合力打倒BOSS的关键时刻，二人却在暧昧地语音聊天，关系也越来越亲密（开发者特意在Valtameri中设计了Snare系统，玩家合力打倒小怪的话，就可以使BOSS在一瞬间失去行动能力）。
在桌面上可以看到本人拍摄的照片，壁纸也是十分的魔法少女。
