The trio Bach Jazz has been met with great enthusiasm from critics and audiences alike, for their organic and open‑minded interpretations of Johann Sebastian Bach’s timeless music.
The debut album (autumn 2024) was named “Jazz of the Month” by Dagens Nyheter and “Chamber Jazz of the Year” by Lira Musikmagasin. The trio has been featured several times on Swedish Television. Their concert from a packed Nefertiti in Gothenburg was broadcast on national public service radio.
On the trio’s second album II, the music widens and deepens further still. They explore more aspects of Johann Sebastian Bach’s boundless universe — from beloved masterpieces to curious experiments. As on the debut, the music is sensitively captured by sound master Åke Linton, and the trio continues its pursuit of distillation and clarity — seeking the sincere, intimate, evocative and unadorned.
