The third full-length album from Germany s Vortex, in a limited edition of 600 copies. During a long trip to India some years ago, the idea grew to compose a whole album focusing on the Dark Age of Hindu mythology, the Iron Age or Kali Yuga. Marcus S. instinctively felt that this would serve as a great metaphor for the current crises in the world during this time of corruption, decline, and war. The concept also allowed him to dive even deeper into shamanistic ritual sounds, and to create a multi-layered and trans-cultural musical metaphor.
This album is more archaic,drum-driven, and spiritual than anything he has done before, a three-year work in progress that aims to go beyond the boundaries of apocalyptic ambience to be seen as modern aural shamanism.
